Release Manager
Location:
Mountain View Office As the Release Manager in Boston Dynamics' Mountain View, CA office, you will work closely with our Pick(c) Vision System line of products designed for picking mixed stock-keeping unit pallets for warehouse spaces.
Every day you will develop and manage the build, release, continuous integration, hardware validation, and QA for the Pick(c) Vision System.
To be successful in this role, you will work within a team of highly collaborative software and hardware engineers to continuously provide the world with the number one vision system on the market!Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges.
For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do.
Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications, logistics and warehouses.
Day-to-day activities:
Improve and maintain the Pick(c) release process; work with stakeholders to plan the release schedule; help the team track their progress against that plan.
Track deployments of Pick(c) throughout their life cycles, from planning and validation testing through to shipment and system acceptance testing.
Own the industrial PC hardware and manage the relevant vendor relationships.
Work with the development team to improve their process and reduce customer issues in the field.
Work with the service team to enable quick resolution of customer issues.
Create and maintain tools and systems for the building, testing, releasing, deploying, and monitoring of systems in the field.
Desired skills:
Prior experience in Release Management and/or Software EngineeringExperience with tools including git, Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, and build systems like CMake or BazelCoding ability in C++, Python and BashCapable of setting up a metrics dashboard and monitoring instrumentation Familiarity with deploying software using zero trust architecture (TPM, encryption, etc) Experience with Machine Learning (ML) applications and NVidia GPUsExperience building and maintaining distributed Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) infrastructure for monitoring and supporting shipped software We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
