GROUP DESCRIPTION:
In Knowles' Intelligent Audio division, located in Mountain View, California, we complement Knowles' leading position in micro-acoustic transducers with deep expertise in audio and sensor processing, machine intelligence algorithms and the development of low-power SoCs to enable cutting-edge audio capabilities in smartphones, tablets, hearing aids and other consumer and medical devices.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The core algorithm team in Knowles Intelligent Audio (KIA) division is looking for an exceptional algorithm developer who is motivated to create best-in-class speech and audio pattern recognition algorithms. The right candidate has a passion for building real-time audio systems and is excited by the challenge of moving algorithms on the frontier of machine learning and audio/speech signal processing to real-world computing devices. We seek a candidate that is comfortable engaging on all aspects of a product cycle that includes algorithm development, benchmarking, and integration into different hardware/software platforms. The right candidate exudes initiative and has a proven record of innovation, problem solving, and collaboration in a team environment. Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Demonstrated willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques, including people management.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop data-driven algorithms for speech and audio processing applications.

  • Create real-time system prototypes for demonstration.

  • Design algorithm validation and performance tests.

  • Has lead a team


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for speech and audio problems.A strong background in deep neural networks is a plus.

  • Proven record of original contribution in a relevant research area such as: automatic speech recognition, speaker identification / verification, noise suppression, robust front-ends for automatic speech processing.

  • Substantial experience programming in C/C++/Java. Familiarity with Python.

  • Experience in developing algorithms with computational, memory, and latency constraints.

  • Experience working with software version control and a large codebase.

  • Experience specifying unit tests and system tests for developed algorithms.

  • Android development experience is a plus.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and desire to learn new skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • PH D. or M.S. in computer science or electrical engineering, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
