Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of new functionality, performance tuning, releasing code, building tools to enhance the monitoring infrastructure and supporting engineering in optimizing code. Design, implement, and maintain automation of ongoing administration and maintenance tasks. Work with Engineering and Operation teams on new releases, schema design, data migration, performance tuning and release management. Monitor and audit database/application performance optimization and other tasks. Build tools for automation as well as enhance the monitoring stack. Build out-of-the-box solutions to help in troubleshooting as well as triaging performance issues in data warehouse environments. Take on call and shift duty for 24x7 support schedule. Work with other operations staff and engineers to ensure that the production service is designed to be as highly available and fault-tolerant including configuring and maintaining a monitoring and alerting solution that will keep tabs on our network, machines, and server applications. Work with the quality teams to create test methods and tools.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
