SENIOR PRINCIPAL ANALOG DESIGN ENGINEER (Irvine, CA. area, or Mountain View, CA., area)
We develop high-speed mixed signal, advanced digital signal processing ICs in deep sub-um technologies targeting 10, 40, and 100G networks in enterprise backbone, enterprise data center and telecom.
Great opportunity for an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer. Conception, design, and development of state-of-the-art very high speed analog CMOS circuits. Work with industry leading design experts and be responsible for all activities ranging from architecture and design, to silicon bring up and characterization. The candidate will develop CMOS ADC, DAC, PLL, & CDR systems with emphasis on performance, size, and low power. Heavy focus will be placed on tradeoffs between high-speed communications systems and analog design. This person will help define future technologies and roadmap for the team. In addition, low level transistor design, mentoring, and detailed design review are required.
Required Skills & Experience
The candidate will have 12+ years of experience and must have a proven track record in the design and layout of high performance, low power, high speed CMOS A/D and D/A converters, PLL's, and CDR systems.
- Experience in advanced CMOS technologies such as 40nm and 28nm.
- The candidate must be capable of playing a key role in the development of a complete AFE module.
- Experience with 10G+ communication and/or networking.
- Experience with digital calibration and communications systems is a plus.
- Low power, high performance analog circuit design.
- Strong academic and practical analog background/training.
- Familiarity with Cadence environment.
- Experience with analog behavioral modeling a plus (SystemC, System Verilog, Matlab)
- Self driven, results-oriented individual capabile of working well with a very experienced and proven team.
- Successfully releasing products to high volume production is desired.
- MSEE required, Ph.D. degree in EE preferred
