Develop and execute software test plans. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Debug software products through use of tests. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure functionality and recommend corrective action. Develop and execute software test plans for different appliance hardware platforms. Write and execute test cases for multiple RAID configurations and appliance storage layouts from system, performance and scalability perspective with Promise and NetApp arrays. Perform system and stress testing on the appliance hardware with backups, restores, replications and optimized duplications with Symantecs deduplication technology. Verify functionality of different appliance hardware configurations in a clustered environment and integrity of the Veritas file systems. Develop automation test suites in ROBOT framework for backup, restore, tape out, and multi domain replication with Symantecs appliances. Plan and execute tests for integration of Symantecs appliance hardware and software solutions with Symantec Operation Centers Auto Support, OpsCenter, NetBackup, Critical Service Protection and other Symantec products. Analyze and write test standards and procedures for monitoring of appliance hardware components like disk, CPU, temperature sensors, RAID, fiber channels, and fans. Debug hardware products through use of tests and tools. Plan, write and execute manual and automated test cases for Symantecs workflow solutions. Analyze performance of databases, write queries to debug and test different databases used in the solutions. Multiple positions, various types/levels. Requirements - Position requires Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
