We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to be a part of our operations on the Ames Consolidated Information Technology Services (ACITS) contract and provide support to the Human Systems Integration Division at NASA Ames.
The successful candidate will be a part of the Systems Support group that provides Linux, Windows, Macintosh, Networks and Security support.
The team also provides facility, engineering, outreach, and website development support.

This position is offering a pay range of $108,000 - $185,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

Requirements:
Implement a comprehensive procurement plan in collaboration with the division's leadership and stakeholders.
Identify the software and hardware needs of different teams and projects within the division.
Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers of software and hardware solutions.
Consider factors such as product quality, pricing, compatibility, technical support, and past performance.
Collaborate with the division's finance team to create and manage a budget for software and hardware acquisitions.
Ensure that purchases comply with NASA's procurement guidelines.
Prepare and issue RFPs to solicit bids from vendors for software and hardware products.
Review and evaluate the received proposals to select the most suitable solutions.
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and correspondence with vendors.
Keep track of delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of ordered products.
Implement a system for tracking and managing software and hardware assets within the division.
Monitor license renewals, upgrades, and hardware replacements to maintain an up-to-date and secure environment.
Work closely with the division's IT team and lab managers to understand specific software and hardware needs for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Provide technical guidance yielding appropriate solutions.
Assist with property custodian asset management NASA inventory control.
Assist with Division Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Document duties.
Assist with Travel Coordination, Calendar Management, and other administrative duties.
Create and implement a division on-boarding process.
Desired Skills:
NASA Project management experience Experience managing others within a cross-functional team.
Familiarity with federal guidance for procurement initiators Experience with Procurement Planning, Vendor Evaluation, Request for Proposals, and Asset Management Ability to learn, adapt and formulate effective solutions quickly with little supervision.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) plus customer service skills.
Excellent problem solution skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment and with all levels of technical, research, and management staff is essential.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
