Temporary 3 hours ago Full Job Description Summer at Saint Francis in Mountain View, California invites applications for Middle and High School Teachers Assistant (TA) positions beginning Summer 2023.
A TA is the primary assistant to the teacher in the classroom, helping with administrative and curricular needs.
We are particularly looking for those who are interested in teaching as a profession, who enjoy tutoring middle or high school age students, and who want to collaborate with instructors by grading exams and providing administrative assistance support.
Subjects include math, science, computer programming and TAs provide middle school camp support.
Working at Summer at Saint Francis also requires a commitment to the mission and values of Saint Francis High School.
Employment for High School positions is June 12 - July 20, with June 19 and July 4 as holidays.
Hours are 8:
00am to 12:
30pm.
Potential tutoring hours and extra opportunities to work from 1-3pm.
Some TAs will also assist with clerical duties from June 8 - June 9 on campus.
For Middle School, positions are from June 12 - July 7th with June 19 and July 4 as holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist teachers with all needs in the classroom Helping check homework, answer questions, tutor students in need Proctoring exams and supervision of the classroom during break periods Reading and grading exams, homework assignments and papers Assisting with the general record keeping for the course, including use of Schoology gradebook Help with classroom management and setup, photocopies, lab setup, etc.
Assist with the editing and writing of course curriculum EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Strong knowledge of course material and content in the subject area applying for An ability to work with middle/high school students in an academic setting A desire to be in the field of education Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and computer skills An understanding of the overarching goals of our summer academic programs SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology for classroom instruction and student learning Ability to work collaboratively BEHAVIORAL JOB ATTRIBUTES Must support the Catholic, Holy Cross mission and philosophy of the school Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Self-starter who is driven to learn and constantly seeks ways to improve professional skills, modernize internal systems and implement best practices Team-player who is willing to collaborate and support colleagues when needed Ability to work with enthusiasm and pride as a members of the greater Saint Francis, Holy Cross Community Act as a role model to students and peers, always imparting good citizenship, kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness Show respect and service orientation towards all members of the immediate and extended communities Positive attitude:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
