Senior Interaction Designer, NX at Samsung in Mountain View, CA
Role and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities o Propose and own key features/components of the product experience for Samsung TV and mobile entertainment services o Lead mid-scale projects from new concept development to product execution o Communicate the user experience through all stages of the design process by creating wireframes, user flows, basic prototypes, presentations, and detailed design specifications o Partner and coordinate with junior to senior level interaction, motion, and visual designers as well as prototypers to conceptualize and build Samsung services o Work with design lead and product managers to transform strategic direction and product requirements into high quality design output from total systems to individual elements o Work with UX researchers to design and observe user studies, then translate user needs and research findings into usable design improvements o Advocate for design centered solutions using strong rationale based on data, market trends, and user research o Contribute to high level concepts and executive reviews but also pitch in on detail level design work o Mentor junior level designers and contribute to team building efforts Skills and Qualifications Qualifications o Master's or Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or related field o 10-12 years of demonstrable experience working as an interaction designer within a consumer electronics or technology company o Solid design experience working across different screens and devices, 10ft UI is a plus o Ability to think strategically and translate requirements and user feedback into holistic design solutions o Fluent in common design software (Sketch, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote) for the creation of interaction design artifacts and presentations o Strong product design experience from concept to execution o Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences (including global teams) at varying levels of the organizations o Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work within technical constraints as they apply to designing for both TV and mobile devices o Great time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail o A team player who can work with cross-functional team members and facilitate collaboration o Ability to make design decisions and recommendations based on professional experience, user insights, and analytics
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
